Here is the review of our 4th mission to explore the hidden Thai restaurants in Bahrain. I had high expectations this time and Papaya didn't let me down.
Location: Cypress Garden, Budaiya
Group: Me, Eman, Sireen.
Overall Rating: 7/10
The place looked really cute with a main dining area in the middle and 2 rows of private sections on the left and right.
The menu was huge in size but with limited items. There was a picture of every dish which made us have a better understanding of the menu.
We were seated in one of the private sections, but Sireen shifted our table out and changed the TV channel so we could watch the opening of the Olympic games.
Here are the starters: Beef Salad, the girls thought that it was excellent and it won the Best Dish title that night. I thought it was fine but i can't judge since i'm not a salad person.
Tom Yum Soup (seafood). The absence of Lemon Grass made a big difference. The fishy taste was too strong.
Overall, the place was very quiet. Staff were friendly & they spoke English!! Presentation of the food made all dishes look appealing and clean. Highly recommended.

Fried Wonton. It was good. I prefer Chinese wantons, but this was good as a Thai dish.
Tom Yum Soup (seafood). The absence of Lemon Grass made a big difference. The fishy taste was too strong.
Crispy Fried Prawn. Nice & crispy.
Fried Cashewnut with Chicken. It was tasty and the chicken was tender.
Fried Beef with Garlic. This was excellent. A bit spicy but it didn't ruin the taste.
Shrimp Noodles. Absolutely delicious.
