Let's Thai it...Mission 8: Mami Soup

8th mission to explore the hidden Thai restaurants in Bahrain was not one of the best place. Just getting there was a mission of its own. We parked and walked for around 10 minutes between Hoora alleys.

Location: Hoora (between Hoora & Exhibition road)
Group: Me, Eman, Sireen, Reem, Noor and Noor.
Overall Rating: 4/10

We parked near Future Studio and walked there through two allies.

The place from inside was very small. A total of 4 or 5 tables. The chubby waitress was really sad and she excused us when her phone rang while taking the order! Later on a lady walked in and handed her an air ticket, she stared at it sadly and she disappeared after a while! The lady who handed her the ticket joined the cooking team in the kitchen!

The menu was not clear at all, we didn't use it and we ordered based on past experience. We had to do other things by ourselves too like bringing enough menus from a nearby table and getting the drinks from the fringe!! Self service!

The soup was not bad. It wasn't good either. Not fishy and not tasteless. Too spicy.

Beef with Oyster Sauce. The beef was the total opposite of tender. Too rough.

Beef Salad. Two of us loved it but the rest found it very spicy. I didn't like the texture of the beef again.

Beef with Basel. Didn't find it too different from the other beef dishes. I wonder what beef were they using!

Fried Prawns. This was good. Too oily though, couldn't have more than one.

Noodles. It was edible but those tiny dried shrimps on top killed the taste.

This was another Thai restaurant that we discovered that day and added to the list. Will be visited in the future.

Since the food was really bad. We stopped by Jasmis on our walk back to our cars for some real food!

Generally there was no special dish to be recommended. I had one spoon of every dish only. The rice was fine but other than that there was nothing impressive. My personal rating was 3 but the average of all group was 4. Not recommended.
